Grown from a special blend of Black Beauty Tall Fescue "cool-season" seeds from Jonathan Green, a long-established lawn seed company dating back to the early 1800s, D. Breen Tall Fescue Sod exhibits a number of significant characteristics. First, it is specifically produced for sites which are wooded and have limited sunlight. Second, deep root growth ensures ability to tolerate excessive stress from drought, heat, cold and shade. The cuticle of its leaves have a waxy finish which serves to repel disease, along with pressure from lack of adequate moisture. In addition, Tall Fescue is distinguished by its rich, dark green color.
Below is a breakdown of the different grasses which comprise the custom blend from which it is grown.
